Hitting The mark.: Lip Tint

image from meetmark.com
If you don't like the feeling of a heavy product on your lips but still want to brighten up a bit- then Shimmer Glossblossom Ripening Lip Tint is perfect for you!

I've been using it all week long, and it kept my lips soft and shiny, without being slimy or sticky.  It slides out like a gloss, and contains little beads that dissolve against the warmth of your lips.  It sets and drys completely weightless and sheer, and brings out a "blossom" of color on your pretty pucker!

You can buy it now in my eBoutique!

September Rush

So much to say, so little time!

-I have sociology and math homework to catch up on.

-Voice and diction class (and the prof :-p)  was lovely!

-"The Perfume Counter" goes up in a week...I'm excited and nervous for tech week, but still have really enjoyed every aspect of being a stage manager.

-I'm trying out for "Accidental Death of an Anarchist next week...it's the main stage play this fall at school.

-I'm running for an officer position of our school's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (the international honors society of two year colleges)..hoping to be Vice President of Leadership for Alpha Rho Psi!

-I made some important decisions about being brave, making up my mind and sticking to it, being committed, loving, and about taking my future in a more clear direction...it's all still fuzzy, but I'm ready to start acting my age, stop whining and worrying about what I want to do, and simply DOING something.

-I'm going to cut my hair really short.

-Since I started my mark. business I've only had one sale.

-I miss spending time with my best friend, and am looking forward to dinner and catching up with her and also her boyfriend when my current show is over.

-I feel like I'm getting a cold.

-I start work on scenes today for the KCACTF competition with my new partner (Anderson, because Tim had to drop out).

Details to come!

Hitting The mark.: Eye Color Compact

This debuted in the mark. magalog today, and I'm so excited about it!  The brand-new On the Dot Eye Color Compact has nine shades for $15!  These smooth metallic shades could easily compliment each other in all sorts of combinations.

Eye make-up is what I spend most of my beauty routine on, and I think it's going to be so fun brightening up the coming autumn days with this hot and shiny new look!

Hitting The mark.: "Break Out Plan"

My face has not been cooperating with me recently!  I'm not sure if it's my diet, my eczema, or the fluctuating temperatures, but acne is a real nuisance for me at times (and I know I'm not alone).

I searched around this summer for different treatments that would gently clear up my face, and I have really started to rely on the Break Out Plan Anti-Acne Gel Lotion by mark.  I'm used to using facial products that contain salicylic acid, but this one has a lower amount than my previous treatments (1.5%), so it's not harsh on my face.  It's mattifying, so my skin never feels greasy or looks shiny after I use it, and I can put make-up on over it and not feel weighed down.  It has very gentle scent, and the packaging is  mess-free, courtesy of the cute jar and press-down dispenser.

The first time I used this lotion, my boyfriend commented that my face smelled/tasted like citrus.  I assume this wasn't appealing (:-p) so if you find you have a similar reaction, you can pick and choose what occasions you apply it for.  Keep in mind that everyone's individual body chemistry mixes with personal products such as lotion and make-up differently.

Hope this holiday weekend finds you feeling lovely!  And don't forget to make my day by "Liking" my mark. Facebook page: Have You Met mark.?

Hitting The mark.: Cosmetic Bags

Okay, so over the past few weeks I've shared the 411 on several great make-up items by mark.  After a girl acquires a sizable amount of products she's left with the question, where to put it all?!  Well, I have your answer! :-)
When I signed up as a rep I received as a free gift this durable and super-cute cosmetic bag.  It's very large (11" L (at top) x 2" W x 8" H) and fully-lined with PVC inside and out.  I think the brown/white/pink striped design is so fun while still being mature (there's even a little mark. charm on the zipper!).  I used this on an over-night trip to hold toothbrush, face wash, lotion, and several make-up items and still had room for more!

I really like the mark. cosmetic bags and use them every day.  I have a small see-through one that I keep in my work bag to carry my essential make-up items and also to strike up conversations about being a mark. representative.  That particular bag no longer offered, but you can buy a similar small bag to fit in your purse here.  A midi-size bag is also available, so mark. has got you covered for a variety of storage needs!  If you don't wear make-up these bags could still be handy for all sorts of personal care items.  All three bags can be purchased  for under $30, or separately at varying costs depending on their size.

Hitting The mark.: "Lip Lacquer"

This is my first review from a customer!

Some of mark.'s earliest products were eye liners, lip glosses, and other make-up in a package known as "Hook Ups".  You could purchase two tubes of make-up that would be hooked together with a free connector (see image).  Now almost everything imaginable make-up-wise, including brushes and face treatments are offered by mark. in the Hook Up format.

My boss bought the Lots of Lacquer lip gloss from the Hook Up line in the color "Fever".   She said that the gloss went on with a nice consistency, moisturized her lips, and the color was very pretty.  What more could you want in a lip gloss?

Lip glosses are one of my favourite beauty products, because they are easily portable, instantly glamorous, and come in so many fun colors and hues.  Plus, for some reason I really enjoy having super-shiny lips (it's not for everyone, I know. :-p)  I'm proud to know that mark. offers a lip gloss that made my first customer so happy!

Get your lip gloss (or beauty fave of choice) in my eBoutique today!  Also don't forget to Like my mark. Facebook page. :-)

Hitting The mark.: "Powder Buff"

It's the second installment of "Hitting The mark."!  Once a week I'm reviewing a product from mark. used by me or one of my customers.

image from meetmark.com
This has for some time been my favourite item for covering blemishes.  This foundation is an oil-free pressed powder that provides buildable coverage.  Lay it on sheer if you're having a good day, and more if you need a little extra disguise. ;-)  It comes in eight different shades so that ladies of any skin tone can find their match.  It's packaged in a sturdy compact with a built-in mirror and a sponge so that you've got everything you need in one place.

The user reviews on the product page rave about this foundation, including a professional make-up artist who says "This is equally as good as the department store product costing 3X as much. A GOOD deal."

Throw the Powder Buff Foundation and the It Kit in your purse and you are prepared with your best face-forward at a moment's notice. :-)

You can find this and more in my eBoutiqueMark. products will make you AND your budget feel good!

Hitting The Mark.: "It Kit"

Welcome to my very first product feature post!  Every weekend I'll share a bit about a mark. product in my new series called "Hitting The Mark."If you like what you see, you can purchase the featured product (or similar items) in my eBoutique!

image from meetmark.com

I chose the "It Kit" as my first feature for two reasons:
1) It's currently on sale, so you have the chance to snag a great deal!
2) I received a very similar product when I signed up as a representative and it's my new favourite beauty tool.

This sturdy and cute compact features a built-in mirror and 10 selections of make-up!  The combinations are numerous, as the kit holds 6 lip glosses, a bronzer, and 3 shades of eye shadow.

I've had a couple recent mornings where I was running late and left the house without putting on make-up.  If I was feeling the need to dress things up later in the day, I had everything I needed at my fingertips in a handy little case!

Shop for this and more in my mark. store.  Items in my Hitting The Mark. series will always be something that I or a customer has personally used!

Meet [my] mark.!

Today was the official launch of my mark. eBoutique!

In case you missed my recent mention of it- I became a mark. representative.  Mark. is an exciting line of make-up and fashion created by Avon to inspire the 20-something set to be beautiful inside and out.

I've been buying Avon and mark. products for years via my best friend and her mom, and decided that it was time to make an investment in the company for myself!   I'm really excited to make some extra cash, meet new people, and learn about new fashion and make-up techniques.

Please stop by my newly-designed eBoutique, and consider giving the products a try.  I will be happy to help with you with any questions or concerns you may have about the products or purchasing.
